Tutorial to Get Refund for iTunes Purchases

Start Mail on your home screen.

  1. Go to the Apple Incident Report page: http://reportaproblem.apple.com/
  2. Enter your Apple ID username (usually your email address) and your password.
  3. Select the appropriate tab: all, songs, movies, TV shows, apps, or books.
  4. On the right side of the purchase for which you’d like a refund, select Report a problem.
  5. Click on “Select a problem” and choose your problem from the menu.
  6. Please follow the request to submit the issue, visit the iTunes Store website, or contact the app developer directly.

Apple should know within a few days or up to a week if your refund request has been approved.

Get a refund on iTunes on your Mac or Windows

  1. Start iTunes on your Mac or Windows PC.
  2. Click the account.
  3. Enter your Apple ID and password when prompted.
  4. In your purchase history, click Preview All.
  5. Click More next to the app for which you’d like a refund. If you do not see the app you want, you should select your date range from the drop-down lists under Purchase history.
  6. Click Report a problem if it appears under the application name.
